You Don’t Have to Grow Your Own Rice
The majority of the world’s population lives in a state of denial. They focus on what they want not what they need. They focus on what they desire not what it takes to truly survive and to keep their family, their community, their society, and their country alive and well.
Beginning with the birth of the industrial revolution and continuing forward into the digital age, the focus on True Reality continued to shift from the essentials towards the abstract actuality of noninvolvement with life essentials. Think about it, you don’t have to grow your own rice, you don’t have to make your own pasta, you don’t have to feed, take care of, and then kill that cow to make yourself a hamburger, all you have to do is to go to the store and buy it. Some may argue that their job is what they do to provide themselves and their family with sustenance but no matter what you do for a living, that does not involve the direct production of your food, you are not living in the authenticity of what it takes to truly survive.
Think about your life. What do you do with your time? What do you do when you have nothing to do? What do you think about? Who do you think about? What are your dreams of doing and accomplishing? Whatever that is, the one thing that is for sure is that you are not thinking/worrying if your rice crop will survive so you will have something to eat tomorrow.
Certainly, as we have all passed through this period of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, (Thanks China!), we have come to understand a bit more about the truth of life—at least for those of us who possess a conscience. Now, today, COVID-19 and its new variants are raging though India, killing many. Again, we are confronted with the realities of life. But again, what are you personally doing about any of this? Are you even thinking about it? Or, are you only thinking about yourself?
Throughout this pandemic what have you focused upon? Have you grown your own food? Have you grown food to help anyone else survive? Or, have simply focused on what you are thinking about, whom you are thinking about, and whatever it is you are trying to obtain?
As the age of the internet dawned upon us people found a vast new distraction. Most simply discovered a way to waste their Life Time. Some found a way to make a living. Others tried to pursue making a living and/or gaining fame through this abstract arena. Though some found money and some found fame how did any of that affect the reality of the reality? And, are any of these people growing their own rice?
Life is a pathway of ever-expanding consciousness. The problem is, many people only understand this concept from the position of Self. What they want. Who they want. What they need. But, few ever come to understand the true reality of life—the truth of growing their own rice.
So, what are you going to do today? What were/what are your plans? Did you wake up thinking how the food you grow will feed you, your family, and possibly others? Or, did you wake of thinking about what and who you want, how you wish to feel, and what you can do for yourself to get whatever it is you desire?
As long as you step away from the truth of reality, you can never truly understand what it means to live. As long as you are not an integral part of growing the crop you cannot truly understand what it means to live and what it means to be a part of the greater whole of life and humanity.
You can only think about yourself if you want to, that is what most of the people of this world do. But, if you hope to be anything more than the massive nothing of the human race you really need to learn how to grow your own rice in order to feed yourself, your family, your community, and maybe even the world.
