The Dream You Don’t Want to Dream

I would imagine that all of us, at one point of time or another, have begun to fall asleep and as we are entering dream state, we began to live that dream reality and we realize, we really don’t want to dream this dream that we are dreaming.

Sometimes, maybe because we are really tired or whatever, we don’t fight it and just fall into that dream life even though it is not the dream we want to dream. Other times, we wake ourselves up, realign our brain, and fall into sleep following another path to a dreamland that we find more appealing.

This is probably a subject that most people never contemplate. They simply live it. And, in someways, this is the condition of life, people simply live what they are given and never try to change the pathway of their dream(s).

This mindset follows through to many an individual’s common reality, as well. They are following whatever life path they are following, they are doing whatever it is they are doing, with little thought or predetermined determination. For some, they find themselves living the dreamed for reality of the life they desire. For many others, this is not the case, however. They are following a path through their life that they do not truly wish to live.

In dream state, all kinds of altered realities are lived. But, when you are living them, you are living them. Are they any less real?

In life, you are living a pathway that was laid out for you by chance and circumstance. But, just like in sleep, you can choose the dream you are willing to dream. In life you can have a hand in either refusing to accept the living you are living or simply accept it and do nothing about it.

This is something that you should think about as you wake up each morning from that dream life. Do you accept living what you are living or can you be strong enough and willful enough to stop and change the course of the reality you have been dealt?
