Tokyo Subway
I had a very curious, and for a lack of a better term, “Mystical,” experience on the Tokyo subway last evening.
I have ridden the subways in Tokyo a million times. Well, maybe not a million times, but a lot of a lot. So many times, over so many decades, I can’t even count.
The only reason I am saying that to you is due to the fact that in all of those train rides, I have never had an experience like the one I encountered last night.
To tell the story… It was a rush hour ride. If you’ve ever experienced the Tokyo subways at rush hour, it is quite an experience. I mean, they are jammed! Most people are super nice, finding a spot in the train and just existing in that space as long as they need to, until they have to get off. Most, are super nice, but not everyone. Some are very pushy. BAM, they just jam their way through to get where they want to get to garb a handle and take a ride.
But, all of this/that is not the story. This/that is just the set up.
I found my way onto the train. I was standing there holding onto one of the handles on a fully jammed train. There was this lady standing in front of me, (between me and the seats). From the moment I arrived… Well, actually, it was all such a blur, I don’t know if she arrived first, or did I??? But again, that’s not really the story.
The subway takes off. She immediately fell into me. She completely leans into me. Leans into me like we had known each other forever and we were the closest of close—long time lovers.
Things like that are all good with me. I don’t judge. But immediately, I could feel the connection. I mean, it was earth shattering. It was atmospheric. There was this intense sense of love that I could feel pouring into me from her. It was pure, intense, directed, and known. What could I do but to allow all my ethereal senses to reciprocate? It was an exchange of total love on some divine level.
Then, she leaned the rear of her head onto my shoulder. That moment of perfection continued and it was intense. Intense, like nothing I had felt in a very-very long time.
Let me sidebar here for just a moment… Things like this used to go on back in the 1970s, and I’m guessing in the 1960s, but I was a bit too young to really experience them back then. But, in the ‘70s, at spiritual gatherings and stuff, people would come up to you… It was a time when love was in the air, and good vibes were the sought-after norm. …They would come up and hug you. You, (I), would hug back. And, it was a complete and total exchange of pure love energy. You would, (eventually), step away feeling like you had been overtaken by the sense of the truest, purest form of love. This moment, on that Tokyo subway, was very much like that.
Times have change, however. It seems the world isn’t on that vibratory level anymore. People don’t care about that kind of stuff anymore. They don’t choose to feel that level of experienced life and love and existence and all of that kind of stuff any longer.
I’m told, if you take Molly the effects are similar to that type/style of feeling. I don’t know? I’m not into drug induced altered consciousness. But, that feeling last night was intense. All based on nothing more than a natural expression of whatever that was between her and I.
This feeling, between her and I, a woman I had never met before, went on for a while. All I could feel was like I had met my Soul Mate.
Now, keep in mind, I was riding the train with my lady. I looked over at her, and she saw what was going on. She saw the external, but she could not even come close to understanding the internal. She’s not into all of that spiritual exchange of energy and stuff like I am.
And, like she always, (semi-jokingly), says, whenever another woman comes after me, in whatever form, “Take him. You can have him. He’s yours.” So… There was no jealousy, or anything like that, happening.
This moment of Love Perfection went on for a while. Again, it was intense. I suppose had it been under difference circumstance, or a different, (younger), time in my life, (when I still had a lot of time left on the clock), I would have pursued it on some more concrete level. But, in this situation, what could I do???
Kind of like that James Blunt song, “You’re Beautiful,” where he sees a beautiful girl on the subway, but he understands, “You’re Beautiful. You’re beautiful. You’re beautiful. It’s true. I saw your face in a crowded place, and I don’t know what to do. Cause I’ll never be with you…” He goes on to sing, “And I don’t think that I’ll see her again. But we shared a moment that will last to the end.”
Though, I probably would have written lyrics to my meeting with that woman last night in a different manner. But, that’s a nice song to reference.
Anyway… We got to our station. I moved away from that woman. We got off the train.
It’s like one of those things where there is that part in you that wants to go back and try to find her again. But, it’s fucking Tokyo! There’s a zillion people living there. Each day, each of them, riding a different train. So, I imagine I could spend the rest of my life trying to find her again, but even if I did, then what?
So anyway, there’s a story for you. A story from the Book of Life of Scott Shaw. Just a story to think about. One of those life events where you live a perfect, most intense moment, but then, what can you do with it??? I know I don’t know? Maybe you have an answer???
