Be Positive
I have long said you can always tell someone who has money. Even if the clothing they are wearing is very shabby, they will always be wearing expensive shoes and an expensive watch.
For the most part, though times and trends have changed, that statement holds true. The subtle elements of how a person presents themselves is the telltale sign of who and what they truly are.
How do you present yourself? Are you consistent in the presentation you present to the world? Or, do you vacillate between one thing and another?
Some people base all that they wear in a sense of ego. Maybe that is presented by wearing only designer clothing, expensive jewelry, and the like. Maybe it is just the opposite. The person only wants to be observed as down, so they wear cheap everything. Maybe someone is locked into a very expressive mode of style, so they only wear clothing that depicts that genre. Whatever the case, if a person holds true to the way they view themselves on the inside—the inside to the outside, they allow anyone who encounters them to gain at least a partial understanding of who they believe themselves to be.
So, again… How do you present yourself to world? And, perhaps most importantly, do you hold firm in your presentation?
Here’s the facts, if you want to be known as a something, you must always hold tight and be consistent with the image you portray to the world around you. Of course, all that you wear, all that you do with elements like your body and your hair are based in ego-domination and ego-presentation, but, if you do not hold tight to how you view yourself on the inside, and how you present that to the world on the outside, no one can ever be sure of who or what you truly are.
