What Have You Done That Has Actually Matters in Life?
What have you done that actually matters in life? Truly, what have you done that is actually matters in life?
Most people never ask themselves this question. And, if they do, they lie to themselves in their response.
Most people pass through their lives with little thought. From the dawning of the human race, this has been the case in point. Most people do not contemplate the truth of their existence, let alone the truth of the greater whole-world consciousness. Why? Because they don't want to know the truth.
In life, most people fill their time with doing whatever it is they do. When they're young, perhaps they are given some chores around the house, they go to school, and do things along those lines. Maybe they join a club or two. Perhaps they play a sport. All believing that that equals something. But does it?
Some may say that, yes, that does equal something. But in the truth of the ultimate reality, all that equals is a way to spend their Life Time. That's an illusion. What they're doing is really equally nothing.
As one passes through the latter stages of their lives, most spend much of their time at their job. Whatever that job may be. Some, truly love what they do to make a living. Others, hate it. But, they all believe that is doing something. That their job is creating a life for them, their family, and it is what they're supposed to do. But is it?
Yes, of course, we all need to find a way to keep a roof over our heads and food in our stomach. But, is that the end all to life? Is that actually doing something? Or, is that simply another way to spend your Life Time, killing time between life and death.
As this new day has dawned, and the internet has taken over the world, (and remember that happened just a couple of decades ago), people have found new and interesting ways to make a living using the technology that is set before them. The technology of today will, of course, eventually change and everything will be completely upended and all will be different. But, here in this moment of time, this is where we live. And, just like at every other point in history, wherever a person lived, at whatever point in time they lived, they were defined by the definitions of that era. We are no different.
This being said, some people have found unique ways to make a living via the internet that were not possible in times gone past. Many of these people follow unique paths of pseudo creativity. Whether that be exhibiting their naked body to the masses, creating some form of so-called digital art, or talking about and discussing: politics, sociology, history, or the arts, people again find a way to spend their time. Some do this by talking about all that was done before them or all that they had no hand in creating.
None of this is right or wrong. This is just the reality of our reality. But again, and back to the point, is what they are doing actually doing anything? Is what they are doing having any effect on the greater reality of this reality? Maybe they make a few people like something, maybe they make a few people hate something, maybe they learn something, maybe they laugh or cry. But, is that truly doing anything with your life? Or, is that just another way to make an excuse for your meaningless reality, as you dance your way through your Life Time?
Certainly, we can all look to people that have really made a difference in our life. Maybe it was our teacher in grammar school or high school. Maybe it was someone who taught us how to play an instrument. Perhaps it was a martial arts instructor who gave us a sense that we could defend ourselves if we ever needed to. But, aside from those few individuals, how many people actually do anything of any importance with their life? Do you?
And, here this all comes down to the ultimate question of this question, what have you done that actually matters in life? Truly, dig down deep. Look into your inner being. Be very honest with yourself. What have you done that actually matters in life?
Could you find an answer to that question? If you could, now, here's the next question, are you lying to yourself? Are you telling yourself that what you did actually mattered when it did not? Truly, how honest are you being with the answer you just gave?
Each of us, as we pass through our lives, has a very obvious reality. We each do what we do. We can make all kinds of excuses for why we've ended up where we've ended up, doing what we are doing, and why we are doing what we are doing. Even criminals, they have all kinds of reasons/excuses for why they do what they do. It doesn't make them right. Just as it doesn't make a person who hurts any other person, for whatever reason, right. Yet, all of these people who do bad things, in their own mind, they have a reason for doing it. That reason isn't valid. Anybody with a soul and a conscience would tell them that. But, in their own mind, they can lie to themselves between birth and death. But then, at death, what will they be left with?
So again, take a really hard look at this question. Ask yourself the question. Answer it truly. And just maybe, you may be able to fix any lacking in the answer.
What have you done that actually matters in life?
