Be Positive

Are You Hatin’ or Are You Creatin’

Life is a process of what you do. Your life is defined by what you do. What you do or do not do becomes the ultimate definition of your life.

Think about something you hoped to do when you were younger. We all had a certain fantasy of what we saw our life evolving into when we were in our youth. What was yours? Did you follow that path? Did you try to become? Or, did you get sidetracked?

If you did follow that path, where did it lead you? No matter where you ultimately ended up, did not the process of pursuing that dream at least provide you with a lot of life experiences that you call up from your memory?

If you did not pursue chasing that life path, and all you did was to allow yourself to be lost in fantasy, taking no true action toward actualizing your one-time dream, where has your life lead you?  What did you lose by not following that dream? And, somewhere deep inside, do you not still wish you could have done something more about who your ultimate became?

When a person is young, they possess a sense of forever. There will always be time to chase that dream. The problem is, time is an evil master, everyone gets old.

A very important thing to do, no matter where you find yourself in life, is to look to the life of those people who are older that you—those who have lived their life, pursuing whatever path they choose to follow. It is truly from them that you can learn a lot about those who never followed their dream. This is also the case, and the ultimate definition of a person’s life, when they die. Who were they when they died? What have they left behind?

Some people spend their entire existence looking to and living their life via the life of other people. Whether that is loving or hating a sports team, the people at their job, or looking to the life of other people, and what they have created or achieved, as means of driving their emotions, leading to their assessments of that other person or other something, ultimately providing them with a false sense of sustenance for their own reality. The thing is, living your life defined by the life of someone else, equals nothing in the realm of what you, personally, have achieved.

Truly, where are you in the pursuit of your dreams? Your dreams of today and/or your dreams of yesterday?

Certainly, many of us, when we were young, held the dream of massive achievement. And, some did achieve that status. But, the reality of the reality is, most of us will never meet that goal. But, the goal we can achieve is the purposely turning off all levels of negativity in our life, stopping all they things that bring unhappiness or harm to anyone or anything, and set about on a path of actually positively doing what we hoped to do.

How about you? Where do you find yourself in this process? Are you still trying to live that dream? Or, have you given up?

Every day of your life you have the chance to make a choice about what it is you are going to do. What are you going to do?

Every day of your life you have the change to follow your dream. There is never a guarantee that you will achieve your ultimate fantasy. But, there is a one-hundred percent chance that you can try.

For anyone who has arrived at adulthood, we each understand that we must take on responsibilities to put a roof over our head and take care of our family and loved ones. This being said, there is always Free Time.

What do you do with your Free Time? Do you spend it spacing out, throwing some or all of your energy into what someone else is doing or has achieved? Or, do you spend it pursing your dream?

Your life, your choice.
