Be Positive
I got a chance to rewatch the movie, “Nuremberg,” last night. Really good movie. I was very surprised when it didn't win more awards during last year's award season. I mean, the performances are all very strong. The sets and the settings are all very well developed and orchestrated. There is also some very interesting and subtle Under-Story in the film. Plus, the movie really shines light on a very dark point in human history. It really shows how the actions of one man, focusing on the hate and dissatisfaction of an entire nation, can grow an entire movement and cause it to unleash unthinkable tragedy.
And, this is the thing, the movie illustrates how a person who bases their life on dissatisfaction and/or a mindset based upon negativity seemingly easily shifted the mindset of an entire nation in the direction of hate and hurt. Then, taking that negativity and moving it towards unthinkable horrors. Yes, for most of these situations, it's very small things; maybe somebody talking trash behind another person's back and causing others to dislike that person. And that's wrong too! But, all of this mindset can be taken to an entirely different level, like in the case of what took place prior to and during World War II, and make an entire race become the focus of incredible destruction. It's just wrong!
The thing about this mindset is, whether it's on the scale of the German Nationalist Movement, and what was unleashed by its crusade, onto a much smaller scale, where any formalized group of people, whether small or large, if it is based in hate, only negative things things will arise.
On a personal level, this is why I always say that you really need to keep your mind only focused on the positive, the helpful, the good, and never on the bad, the judgement, the hurtful, or the negative. The problem with this statement is, however, so many people embrace a state of hate and or negativity and they believe that the actions they take, based upon this mindset, are actually good. They believe that by unleashing this hatred in the direction of one person, one group, one race, one whatever, they are actually doing something good. Look at the Nazi movement. Look at what Pol Pot unleashed. But, the fact the fact is, they are not. It's really simple to see. All you have to do is look at the end result. If someone or something is hurt by any action that is taken, then what is it? What has occurred? The answer is obvious. It is a bad thing. Don’t do it!
Right here, right now, this is a good time for you to take a look at yourself. When was the last time you said something negative about a person? When was the last time you said something negative about a situation? When was the last time that those thoughts or actions caused you to do something negative, no matter how right you may have believed those action to be?
Here's the big question, when you did voice that level of negativity, when you did do that potentially hurtful thing, did you even question what you were doing? Did you even have the mental fortitude to actually take a look at what you were creating—while you were speaking that level of negativity/while you were enacting that level of negativity? If you didn't, what does that say about you? And, on the other side of the coin, if you did, you probably would have caught yourself and not instigated any of that negativity at all. Thus, the truth of all reality is in the answer itself. Negativity, badness, hurtfulness, hate, and all that stuff, they all equal the same thing. Nothing good. Period.
All this is just something for you to think about before you speak that next word, before you do that next thing. Ask yourself, is what you are doing based in hate? Is it based in hurtful action? If it is, then you should possess the self-awareness within yourself not to do it.
Hate only equals hate. Hurt only equals hurt. No matter what your motivation, if you are walking down that road, that road will lead to nothing good. You know this. I shouldn't have to say this. Yet, think how many people are still out there trying to hurt.
Hurt equals hurt. Help equals help. Bad equals bad. Good equals good. And mostly, hate is the most dastardly of all reality.
Always spread love. Always speak only the positive. If your reality is based in negativity, If the words coming out of your mouth are based in negativity, judgment, hurtful action, anything like that, possess the mental awareness to stop yourself. Only create the good.
