Psychic or Not

If I can reference one of the very tongue-in-cheek lines we created in The Roller Blade Seven as the title for this piece… Psychic or Not?

I was driving home today, and I passed by this relatively newly-developed, “Psychic,” compound. The structure was/is a very large, older ranch-style house that had been converted into a business front years ago.

About a year ago, this female, “Psychic,” moved in and completely renovated the interior and the exterior of the property. It had to cost a lot of money. Every time we, my lady and I, would drive by, would comment as such.

As the months went on, I always wonder where all of her business was, as she seemingly had none. The parking lot was always empty, and the sign always said, “Closed.” Then, today, I drive by, and I see a massive, “For Lease,” sign on the building. I guess she wasn’t that great of a Psychic. She didn’t see that after spending all of that money to renovate the place that she would have no business and would have to go out of business.

I remember a number of years deep now. I was driving down the street and there was one of those digital billboards, and on it was the statement. “Psychic Faire, Cancelled.”  My lady and I looked at each other and laughed. “I guess none of them were psychic enough to know that their event would be cancelled.”

Earlier today, I was writing about the fact that we all have to be careful about those who call themselves a teacher. I believe a, “Psychic,” is the ultimate example of that.

…Like I always say, if you want to truly test a so-called psychic, ask them a question about yourself or your family that there is no possible way that they could know the true answer.  And, when they dodge the question, get it wrong, or make excuses for their inability to get it right, then their truth will be revealed.

Life is an interesting process. We all want to know answers to questions that we want the answer to but can never truly have. The list of those questions is a vast as the number of humans on this planet at any one point in time. But, turning to someone, and paying them, to answer those questions, always comes with a question of truth.

Some people just want to believe, and that’s their mistake.

So, like I illuded to earlier in the previous blog, “Be careful of who you listen to and why you listen to them.” If you ask someone/anyone a question, sure, maybe they can pretend to have an answer. But, the only true answer to anything is what is inside of your own Inner Self.

Remember, only you can know the true answer to you.
