Be Positive

Freedom of Mind and the Path I Walk

For most people, they need a very defined sense of reality. They need to have everything placed in a box of their understanding. Or, they don’t understand it. This is why since the dawn of such things as Abstract Art people have diminished and shunned it. Some have even proclaimed, “Anyone can do that!” But, anyone does not do that? No. It is the artist who brought their artistic vision to life that did that. And, this is the same situation that has taken place with the creation of any new and uncharted form of artistic express in this modern era.

This mindset spreads throughout much of the human race. People want things defined. They want things to be simple and understandable and previously known. They want things to be the way they want things to be.

Here lies the interesting crux of human movement and evolution. It is not the known that moves life and human reality forward. It is the unknown. It is the experimentation(s) that leads to those new realization(s).

From the perspective of Zen, new reality, the movement from the understood and the common and the known, towards the unknown, is at the heart of the philosophy. Unknown is accepted as the known. Thus, new realizations are allowed to be given birth to.

Here’s the place where you should ask yourself the question, “Do you accept the unknown? Or, do you only based all of your thoughts and all of your reality upon what you already know, what you like, and what you accept?”

By answering that question, you will allow yourself a new and clearer picture of who you truly are and how you truly operate in this Life Place. Do you only exist in the plane of the known and the expected and the accepted? Or, do you allow yourself to move into the realm of the new and the unknown and the different?

You can keep your life all the same. You can only allow things that you already know, like, and understand into your life. You can hate, despise, and criticize all that you do not like or understand. Or, you can be an open vessel to allow the new, the different, and the abstract to enter your life and from this be a conduit for the growth of the ever-expanding human consciousness. Your life. Your choice.
