Be Positive
There is an understanding, particularly emphasized in Hinduism, that one should be very careful when they decided to help someone out. This is especially the case when someone is going through some hard something. In fact, it may be best if you do not help that person at all. Why is this? Because by helping them you are interfering with their karma. You are interceding in what it is that they are being repaid for and what they can and should learn from going through what they are going through. Ultimately, by doing so, you are interrupting the natural evolution of their life. From this, though you may feel good about making the life of that person better, what you have actually done is to introduce their karma into your own life.
This is a hard concept for some people to grasp. It also goes against the nature of what many people are taught. Taught, that you should help those in need.
The thing about life is, there is a much deeper enigma taking place than most people ever can understand, let alone ever consider. Commonly, people see things via a very force-focused understanding defined by what they do or do not want to occur or what they do or do not wish to gain from any particular person or situation. All you have to do it to look to a time when you helped someone, while truly and honestly observing your motivations to understand the reason why you reached out your hand. You wanted something. Yes, that something may have been for them to stop feeling pain, however that pain may be described. But, at deeper level, why were you so invested in their life that you felt it was your job to step in? The answer to that question is that, ultimately, you wanted to gain something? Your motivation for this may be a simply as you feeling good about your ability to help. The motivations can go up the ladder from there. But, at their source, is always the concept of YOU.
There are a million interpersonal reasons why someone does what they do. There are a million interpersonal reasons why someone wishes to help someone in need. Before only witnessing and responding to what is taken place, however, very few people trace back what is going on with that individual to its source. From this, the truth about what is taking place in their life can never truly be known. Moreover, as karma is such a complicated subject, the person looking in from the outside can never accurately know what that individual has set in motion that has led them to encounter the negative reality they are currently experiencing.
This is all just something for you to think about before you extend that helping hand. Is what you are doing and whom you are helping truly making something better? Or, have you simply impeded the karmic repercussions of what that individual needed to experience? Moreover, by helping are you actually creating a situation where you are taking on their karma or creating your own set of negative karma in the process? Because if they are not experiencing what they deserve to experience, and it is you who stopped the manifestation, what have you actually created?
Life is complicated. This is why you really must study all levels of who you are and why you do what do. Because if you don’t, all you will live, all you will create is a life defined by the unknown where what happens to others and what happens to you simply becomes a chaotic mess of uncertainty and undefined actions and reactions.
