Be Positive
Right Now, here in this space in time, in the history we are living in this moment of our Now, there is a lot of change taking place. Some/Many may not like the direction the world is going. But, that is always the case. Whenever there is a movement of change, it will always be loved by some and hated by others. That’s just the way it goes.
The thing is, change can only go so far. And, this is where people get lost in their message. They want things to be one way or the other. Okay… That’s everyone. But, some/many are so far in favor of the change or against the change that is going on around them that they go all crazy, doing all kinds of stuff to either instigate that change or change the change that is changing—trying to stop it.
In that and because of this, a lot of emotions are enacted and released, and a lot of negative things are done.
If we look back to what was taking place in say the 1960s and well into the 1970s, there was this vast moment of freedom. People, who choose to, were allowed to move away from the norm and express their own definition of Suchness. Thus, people were allowed to experiment and, for lack of a better term, “Be free.”
Of course, looking to the annal of history, many-many people were opposed to this. Those defined and lost in the, “Normality,” of what came before were completely against this new counter-culture that propagated freedom of Mind and Self.
This moment went on for a time. Then what happened? It was gone. That’s just the way it is.
If we look back to other points in history, like with the fascism that arose in the 1930s and the 1940s, leading to the holocaust, and the Japanese Imperialism that was taking place around this same period, we see that there was a vast movement towards conservatism and secularization. Though this period of world history also came to an end, it never really left us, it spread out and into the 1970s, on a more focalized landscape, where people, lead by Pol Pot in Cambodia, seeking a homogeneous population, where all those that were considered to be the affluent or the learned were seen as wrong, and, from this, much of the indigenous population of the country was killed off. This too came and went. Though other similar situations, large and small, have continued taking place around the globe.
Now, the world trend seems to be shifting towards a staunch conservatism, where ethnocentric ideals are heartily embraced. That’s the movement of now. Some of us who lived through a different, early time, prefer the mindset of that time gone past. But, there’s nothing we can do to change the trend that is taking place and bring back that former era. That’s just the way it is. That’s the way the evolution of humanity has taken place. There are large trends of human consciousness, and you are either for them or you are against them or you just don’t care either way.
The things is, though you cannot change these trends, as much as you may want to. And, you may, in fact, hate the trend that is taking place, the one thing you can do is to stay true to yourself. Be the ideal individual that you can be. Sure, you can love or hate what is going on around you; that’s human nature. But, you do not have to let it dominate and control your mind, causing you to lose your peace, leading to you doing things that are damaging to others. Because then, all you have become is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
In other words, find the peace within yourself. Maintain that peace. And, never let what is going on outside of you become the dominating factor in your life, causing you to feel and do negative things.
Ultimately, the trends of life are forever changing. There is nothing anyone can do to change that. Loving or hating them is your choice. But, the biggest choice you can make is to not be defined by what is going on outside of yourself. Be more than that. Do not be controlled by something you cannot control.
