Be Positive
I don’t know about you, but I get some fun cat videos popping into my feed. I guess that’s because I like cats, and, of course, all other animals. But, because I’ve had cat orientated furry friends in my life for the better part of the past forty years, well…
Anyway, every now and then, I get the lists of and about cats coming up in my feed. In this one, (and others), they state that one of the facts of having a cat in your life is that you will never get a full night’s sleep. …As a cat will always bother you. How true!
But, is that really a bad thing?
I mean, each of the cats that have been a part of my life have had such a unique personality. They are each so different. One cat we had would plant himself on our pillow every night. If I ever woke up and looked at him, he was totally awake. The cat psychologists say, that he was protecting us, keeping watch over us, so there could be no attack. Thanks!
I know some people lock their cats out of their bedroom at night, just so they can get a good night’s sleep. But again, the cat psychologists say, that behaving in that manner really hurts the feelings of your cat. And, I believe that. I have watched and cats possess every single emotion that humans do. They just present somewhat differently. Some people, even put their cats in cage. How wrong is that!!!
My two current cats, are quite the waker-upers. One, he comes in at least once a night and does a whole kneading session on the covers. Wake up! The other one is a total cuddler. A total bed hog. She comes in and plants herself right up against my back when I go to bed. From there, all night long, every time I turn over, she snuggles in, so by the end of the night I am just hanging on the edge of the bed.
The thing is, this is life. This is living life. This is interactive life. This is truly living. Something that I believe many people do not do. All they want is control. All they desire is power. All they want is what they want. They do not want to give—give in.
Now, you don’t have to interact with cats to truly live and come to understanding humanity and life and all of that good stuff. It can come to you defined by how ever you want it to be defined. But, at least from my perspective, you must live, you must interact, you must care for something—care for them more than you for yourself. Because if you don’t, what does that leave with you?
Is getting a good night’s sleep really more important than having some being/someone caring about you and loving you?
